Our Staff

Northwest Arkansas Psychological Group was founded in 1979 by Richard Back, Ph.D. Thirty years later it is still locally owned and operated by Dr. Back. With offices conveniently located less than a mile from the Northwest Arkansas Mall, it is our aim to serve the growing community of Northwest Arkansas.

Richard Back, Ph.D.

Dr. Back has been a licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1978. He has over thirty years experience in diagnosing all psychological disorders. Dr. Back is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where as an undergraduate, he was a three year letterman. In graduate school, his internship was at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis. With 30 years of experience, Dr. Back's goal with each client is to help them understand what role their own mind plays in their problems.

Brenda Baker, LCSW, LADAC

Ms. Baker has twenty-five years in the mental health field. She has worked extensively with families in crisis, dealing with such issues as domestic violence, substance abuse, and grief issues. She is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys biking and kayaking.
